About Cherie

Cherie Finocchiaro is an enthusiastic and passionate speech pathologist dedicated to helping her clients achieve their communication goals. With a deep commitment to fostering functional improvements, Cherie aims to enhance each client's participation in their community and daily life. Cherie uses a client-centered approach, focusing on creating individualised plans that address specific needs and aspirations.

Cherie holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech Pathology) from the University of Sydney. She is a Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia and a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist. Currently, she is expanding her expertise by pursuing a Master of Business Administration (Health) at the University of Technology Sydney.

Cherie’s professional training includes certifications and experience in:

  • Sounds Write Synthetic Phonics Approach for beginning readers;

  • Hanen: It Takes Two to Talk Program for parents of young children with language delays;

  • The Lidcombe, Westmead, Oakville and Camperdown Program for stuttering;

  • The LSVT Loud Program for Parkinson’s; and

  • Resonant Voice Therapy for professional voice users.

Cherie employs a variety of evidence-based methods tailored to each client's unique situation. With years of experience in the field, Cherie has had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve meaningful progress.
